Our First Day in the New Group as told by Elena

It feels really good to have a different teacher because it is always good to have a change. It is really fun to be in the new group. We had math and it was a Jellybean Celebration. We worked with sorting plus we got to eat popcorn and M&Ms.

In Kim's class we work on Social Studies. We worked on Afghanistan. We looked at the mystery of what happened to the Afghan gold that was missing from the museum. Was the treasure stolen? We also are going to be working on other mysteries and another four countries.

There are currently soldiers in Afghanistan who are protecting and fighting. People have been invading Afghanistan since Alexander the Great in 330B.C.E.

This morning we worked on a timeline and we figured out different events throughout history. From 1500 B.C.E to 2000 C.E., like when ice cream was invented and the Boston Tea Party. We even added events in Afghanistan's history to the timeline.

We also made spiders and we are writing our mysteries and playing bananagrams.
