We played with a new game called Story Cubes during literacy. We played in small groups. Each person rolls a dice (with six pictures on it), then they use that picture to tell add to a story.
Our class story was:
Once upon a time, (Connor - a building) there was an office that mushrooms were growing in (Daisy - tipi) and a model of a tipi (Elena - word bubble) The mushrooms started talking to the tipi. They said they wanted to live in it. (Ethan - bee ) A bee came by and stung one of the mushrooms. (Liam - key hole) The bee saw a lock and he had to find the key for it. (Max - apple) Then an apple came along and the bee ate the apple and said, "Yum!" (Sydney - house) A house appeared and they all wanted to go home. (Ricky - turtle) A turtle came by and the turtle said, "Can I come with you?" (Ronald - magnifying glass ) The turtle brought his magnifying glass. (Sarah - lightning) A storm came by. (Scott - flashlight) Their flashlight burned out and they could not find their house...
