Pauline Kaldas from Hollins University talked to us about her two trips to Egypt. Everett learned how modern Egypt is. Noah learned that almost all Egyptians speak English. Some speak French and German as well. Sarah learned that there are big cities. Grace learned that 5 Egyptian pounds equals $1. Cassie learned that when the camels stand up it feels like they are really high. Nicholas learned about the whirling dervishes and how important their costumes are. They look like dresses. Declan learned about step pyramids in ancient Egypt. Deven learned that there are three pyramids and a sphinx of Giza. David learned that there are a lot of things in Egypt that are the same in America. Tory learned that people speak Arabic and not Egyptian. Sydney learned more about the pyramids and saw a modern pictures of pyramids and temples.
Thank you, Pauline!
